Siang Upper Multipurpose Project: Facts, Myths & the Reality
Who we are
An authentic, fact-based platform to separate verified information from misinformation, clarify public concerns and promote informed dialogue on the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project.
Save Siang is a community page. It is not a government website.
Where these facts come from
The facts on this site come from the government's official outreach material and public statements on SUMP – Siang Upper Multipurpose Project. Where the government has made a promise, we write "The government has assured". Where it has explained how the process works, we write "The government has made it clear".
The project's size, storage, power, cost and timelines are estimates while it is being studied. SUMP is still at the PFR (study) stage.
